1. Scope
These Terms of Service apply to the use of the EQIO app and all related services. By registering, you accept these terms.
2. Service Description
EQIO is a modular health platform for horses and offers the following features, among others:
- Digital management of horse vaccinations with AI-powered recognition
- Verification of competition eligibility according to various regulations (FEI, FN, OEPS, etc.)
- Push notifications for vaccination reminders
- Ration calculation and nutrient analysis for horse feed
- Digital document management (horse passport, insurance, contracts, etc.)
- PDF export of vaccination records
- Synchronization across multiple devices
The platform is continuously being expanded with additional Health Blocks (modules). The range of features may therefore change.
3. Requirements for Use
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Valid email address for registration
- Acceptance of these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy
4. Free Use
EQIO is currently free to use. We reserve the right to offer premium features for a fee in the future. Existing free features will remain available.
5. Disclaimer
Important Notice:
EQIO does not replace veterinary advice. The displayed vaccination dates and competition eligibility information are for guidance only.
The information in the physical equine passport is always authoritative.
We accept no liability for damages caused by incorrect AI recognition, wrong date entries, incorrect ration calculations, or technical malfunctions. The use of all features and the implementation of displayed results is at the user's own risk and responsibility.
6. AI Recognition
The automatic recognition of vaccination data by AI is an assistive tool. Always verify the recognized data for accuracy before saving. AI recognition may be inaccurate, especially with:
- Poorly legible or damaged vaccination stickers
- Unusual handwriting
- Poor image quality
7. User Content and Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content you enter, upload, or store in EQIO. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Vaccination data and health information about your horses
- Uploaded documents (horse passport, insurance policies, contracts, etc.)
- Feed rations and nutrient data
- Photos and other media
EQIO does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data entered by you. You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe the rights of third parties and complies with applicable laws.
Results from the ration calculator and nutrient analysis are based on general reference values (GfE standard) and do not replace individual advice from a veterinarian or equine nutritionist.
8. Your Obligations
As a user, you agree to:
- Only enter correct and truthful data
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Not misuse the app
- Not violate the rights of third parties
- Not upload illegal, offensive, or harmful content
9. Intellectual Property
All content in the app (logo, texts, graphics, code) is protected by copyright and owned by EQIO. Use outside the app is not permitted without written consent.
10. Availability
We strive for high availability of the app. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance work will be announced when possible.
11. Changes
We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the changes.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts for violations of these Terms of Service.
13. Applicable Law
Austrian law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Kufstein, Austria.
